Experienced Professional Educator, Legislator & Finance Professional. Over 40 years of experience in the fields of Finance, Education and the New York City Legislature.

Dr. Clarke has extensive experience and relationship with many elected and appointed officials at local, state and federal levels in the United States, having been the first woman from the Caribbean elected to the New York City Council.

Dr. Clarke has resided in the USA prior to any Caribbean country becoming a sovereign nation, and so has developed important and long-standing relationships with all CARICOM nations.

Dr. Clarke is considered by many as the Dean of Caribbean politics, as well as, the Mother of the Caribbean-American community in the USA.

She enjoys an enviable reputation as an activist politician, as well as, someone who has created many lasting institutions within her community. These cover such areas as: Health, Education and Economic Development. Her advocacy on behalf of Immigrant Rights is historic.
